How would you describe yourself in 10 words or less?
Practical, having lots of plans, meditative, I work as a Senior IT Consultant.
How would your wife describe you in 10 words or less?
That depends. Ask her about the above description.
How did you get called to be a leader of your Home Fellowship?
Good question. I don't know. I was asked. In a more spiritual sense: I was called. I love my brothers and sisters.
What’s a typical meeting like? Do you ever get together as a group and do things outside of your regular meeting times?
Worship, prayer, we talk about themes connected to the Bible studies in the church. Sometimes we meet outdoors, particularly in the summer e.g. near Lake Balaton.
Describe the “mix” of people that come along to your group?
They are really cool people, and interestingly enough, there are some children each time (in a different room).
What are some ways you’ve seen God working in the lives of the people in your HF?
Through fellowship, carrying each others' burdens and answered prayer.
What do you think is the most important benefit a person can receive from being part of a home fellowship?
As we talk about the weekly Bible studies, we gain a greater understanding by listening to each others’ questions and comments. We remember it more because it is repeated, and it is easier to live according to it because we also learn about applying it to our lives. These three things define the “good soil”. If you do these, your life will bear much fruit.
Is there a verse or passage you remember studying that had a big impact on the lives of the people in your group?
The parable of the good soil – it is still really important in our group.
