The ministry on the streets started in 1996. After 3 years the Hajlék Misszió Alapítvány (Shelter Mission Foundation) was started. In 2006 the official homeless shelter was born which fed 80-100 homeless people a day and was supported by the governent. From January 1, 2007 our church took on the running of the shelter. In the 7th disctric, in Vörösmarty street, in a 120 square meter basement the shelter is open every week-day for 7 hours (from 7am until 2pm)  before the homeless with 5 full-time staff and volunteers providing food, clothes, practical help and counselling. So that this ministry of our church is distinguisable from Hajlék Misszió (Shelter Mission), we named it as Homeless Ministry.
